Situation
More than 20 years after the old Hurtigruten ship MS Finnmarken was landed at the Hurtigruten Museum at Stokmarknes, the ship is finally under roof, and now adorns the landscape through enormous glass walls.

Peab Bjørn Bygg has handed over a new defense building over the Hurtigruten ship MS Finnmarken at Stokmarknes. Hurtigruten has throughout the ages been of great importance to the Norwegian coast. Both as an important transport artery for people and goods, and eventually also as an attractive tourist product.

One of the world's largest museum objects, MS Finnmarken, which has now been built in, and has become a more integrated part of the Hurtigruten Museum at Stokmarknes. Most of the building is made of glass and steel, and the shape of the building is inspired by Hurtigruten's speed and aerodynamic shape.
