Situation

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the demand for salmon worldwide. As a result, Norway, one of the world's largest producers of farmed salmon, has taken steps to expand its production capacity.
The latest development in this expansion was the completion of the first phase of a new salmon farming facility in April 2023. This new facility is expected to produce around 940 tons of salmon annually, with projected full production capacity being reached by the end of 2023.
The second phase of the project is currently underway and is set to be completed in 2025. Once finished, this phase will double the annual production capacity to a staggering 15,800 tons.
