Skipet, Bergen
Bergen's first and largest commercial building in solid wood
Situation
The ship is located in the innermost part of the Puddefjord and forms the gateway to Bergen at Gamle Nygårdsbro. The building is the first and largest commercial building in Bergen to be built in solid wood. The building's architecture is unique and exciting, where the wood in the construction becomes partially visible.
Facts
SFS has delivered all fastening materials to the Ship. Screws that have been used are WT-T, HTP-T and WR-T. These have been used for joining solid wood elements and reinforcing glulam.
